Broken Part Rescue

Don’t replace the whole thing because one plastic piece broke.

If a clip, knob, bracket, spacer, retainer, cover, guide, holder or other small plastic part broke — especially something discontinued or hard to find — send me photos. I can recreate many simple parts and 3D print a replacement.

Simple replacement

$25 starting

Basic recreation of a straightforward part, plus a prototype print. Final price depends on complexity, size, material and fit requirements.

Good candidates

  • Clips and retainers
  • Knobs and spacers
  • Brackets and mounts
  • Guides and covers
  • RV / boat / appliance pieces
  • Shop and equipment parts

What to send

  • 2–4 clear photos
  • What the part came from
  • At least one known measurement
  • Photo of where it installs
  • Any broken pieces you still have

How it works

1. Send photos

Show the part and where it belongs.

2. Measure

I’ll ask for the dimensions needed to model it accurately.

3. Quote

You get the price before I spend time modeling or printing.

4. Make & test

I model and print it, then adjust if the agreed scope includes fit revisions.

Important: 3D-printed replacement parts are not appropriate for every application. I may decline parts that are safety-critical, exposed to extreme heat, carry structural loads beyond the material, or would be better replaced with an OEM / professionally manufactured component.

Have something weird?

That is fine. The easiest way to know is to send it. If I cannot reasonably reproduce it, I’ll tell you instead of charging you to chase a bad solution.
